Both window types are made of fine Honduran Mahogany, and are hand crafted to the highest of standards.

The craftsmanship of Borano windows rank far above the competition. Our 2 3/4" thick stiles and rails are a full 1" thicker than the industry standard. The window is rabbitted on all four edges for solid union with the rabbitted jamb and sill.

The bottom of the window sash is weather-stripped and tapered to match the taper of the sill, thereby providing energy efficiency with no water infiltration. In true Borano fashion, we go above and beyond by adding a drip edge with a friction groove to the bottom of the sash. This is not only beautiful, but also functional, preventing water infiltration without unsightly weep holes.

Last but not least, our insulated, laminated glass is compiled of four panes of glass, not the traditional 2 or 3 panes of glass. This extra thickness keeps the noise outside and climate control inside - where it belongs.
