doors demand quality construction. We don’t “cut corners” when we
manufacture Borano doors.
We use a solid Mahogany Stav-core (butcher
block core design) to prevent warping, twisting, water infiltration, and
other issues that are a result of poor construction.
• 2-1/4” thick door;
1-3/4” thick jambs - thicker than the industry standard, for added
security
• Threshold is 1-3/4” thick solid Honduran Mahogany, for beauty &
strength
DOOR
• Floating panels glazed in with Dow 995 to ensure that the panel can
float without air or moisture penetration
• Solid Mahogany panels with offset joints biscuitted for joint strength
• All 4 sides of door rabbitted to ensure no water infiltration
• Face of stile and rail covered with 1/4” overlay, not a thin veneer
JOINTS
• Old World Mortise and Tenon Jointery
• All joints glued with Franklin Advantage II Waterproof Catalyzed Glue
• Weather-stripping on Door and Jamb
ASTRAGALS
• Astragal on interior and exterior to prevent water infiltration
• Weather stripping between junction of doors
